87. Help a chemo patient

A breast cancer survivor told our class her story. When she was pregnant with her first child she felt something that was not just milk in her breasts. A rock-solid lump.
Directly after her daughter was born, she was rushed into surgery to remove the growing tumor. After 14 bouts of chemotherapy, she was cancer-free. But not her daughter. Her daughter got a brain tumor as a baby and lived with cancer until age 4. During that time, the breast cancer came back, and the breasts had to be entirely removed.

Goal 87: Help a chemo patient
I'm planning on a. knitting a hat for a chemo patient, b. checking for breast cancer every month, and c. growing my hair long so that I might one day donate it. I know it isn't much help, but anything counts right? And hey, maybe I'll find other ways to help once I get started with this baby step.
